Universities Engagement Team Lead

The Role

Due to recent success and outside investment we are looking for a new Universities EngagemenTeam Lead to join our team in the City of London. As a Universities Engagement Team Lead, you will be leading the Universities Engagement team in building our company presence and improving our service offerings to recent graduates.

The Universities Engagement Team holds an important role in fostering key academic partnerships and building relevant graduate talent pipelines, ensuring innovation in our recruitment strategy and fostering visibility of our brand in the graduate recruitment market.

Role overview:

  • The Universities Engagement Team Lead is responsible for leading our Universities Engagement function by building and managing relations with strategic university accounts across the UK.
  • As a Universities Engagement Team Lead, you will work closely alongside our Talent, Marketing and Sales teams to maintain robust relationships with key universities accounts. You’ll be a highly visible university-facing member of the Sparta Global team, spending a portion of your time on campus and working with students as well as university partners. The Universities Engagement Team Lead will have a key role in helping attract emerging university talent throughout the year.
  • Research, leverage and maintain relationships with key university partners in London and across the UK.
  • Manage and develop account teams of senior university partners, including Careers and Employability, Employer Liaison, Events Management teams and academic networks.
  • Attend on-campus visits and meetings based on your analysis of recruitment priorities with universities.
  • Create university recruitment pipelines that reflect business needs, work alongside university partners to maximise the relevance and success of on-campus recruitment events.
  • Schedule, organise and deliver university events, including graduate fairs, on-campus company presentations, coding workshops, career advice sessions and other student engagement initiatives.
  • Manage our brand ambassadors programme and build on existing student engagement plans by devising new ways of attracting university graduates.
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting related to on-campus recruitment, including monitoring costs associated with careers fairs and other student engagement initiatives.
  • Track the success of university partnerships and keep accurate recruitment analysis and engagement records to inform strategic planning.
  • Pre-screen, select and process applications from university graduates using Salesforce CRM, monitor conversion of candidates from university events and ensure excellent candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Assist the Talent Team with the onboarding, assessment and retention of graduate talent, including administering psychometric tests, running assessment centres, conducting candidate interviews and processing confidential information in line with GDPR regulations.
  • Research the graduate recruitment market, educate yourself on market trends in the digital sphere and continue to build expertise in your market(s) to ensure innovation in your field.
