Sparta Global helps Shell build AI Capability
Shell has an advanced utilisation of Spartans across AI, Machine Learning, and Data Science.
- Generative AI & Prompt Engineering: Spartans are actively working on “Shell-e,” an in-house OpenAI generative AI service. Consultants acting as Prompt Engineers work closely with Large Language Models (LLMs) to optimise responses for various business applications and are creating learning paths to train new Prompt Engineers within the company.
- Machine Learning & NLP: Spartans are working as Machine Learning Engineers on a project researching how to combine machine vision with Natural Language Processing (NLP) to solve complex AI challenges. Other Spartans have created automation scripts that use text analytics to extract data from daily drilling reports, and have written tutorials guiding users on utilising Azure Machine Learning Studio for Sentiment Analysis.
- Data Science “DiY” Program: Our Spartan Data Engineers have completed the “Shell DiY” Data Science program. Through this, they gained Azure Data Scientist certifications, built AzureML components, and applied ML to live business use cases – in one instance, creating a solution that saved $50,000 a year in manual costs.
