Sparta Global & HM Land Registry
HM Land Registry partners with Sparta Global to enhance and scale its early careers programme across 14 UK locations.
The UK property market relies heavily on robust digital infrastructure. As a non-ministerial government department safeguarding land and property ownership across England and Wales, HM Land Registry protects ownership valued at more than £8 trillion and underpins over £1 trillion in secured lending. Managing a Land Register of more than 26.5 million titles – covering close to 90% of the land mass – means innovation and digital transformation are critical to streamlining services and expanding data access. To support these large-scale modernisation efforts across its 14 UK locations, HM Land Registry partnered with Sparta Global to enhance and scale its early careers programme.
A Tailored, location-based solution
Sparta Global delivered a custom talent and training solution specifically designed to support a major government programme. By blending business and data-focused modules, the program developed consultants who were technically proficient and perfectly aligned with the department’s long-term workforce needs.
Since the partnership began in 2019, the collaboration has successfully built a sustainable pipeline of future digital leaders for the public sector. The outcomes highlight a remarkable track record of retention and career progression:
-
High Conversion Rates: More than 90% of deployed Spartans have successfully converted into permanent HM Land Registry employees.
-
Proven Longevity: More than 40 consultants have transitioned to permanent roles, with over 90% remaining with the organisation for at least two additional years.
-
Career Progression: More than half of the converted consultants have already progressed their careers internally, stepping into advanced roles within the department.
-
Workforce Transformation: The influx of targeted talent has allowed HM Land Registry to close critical digital skills gaps and significantly enhance its long-term workforce planning.
