David Rai
Founder and CEO
David Rai is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Sparta Global, an entrepreneur with a long-standing career across UK, US, and European technology markets. Known for turning complex industry challenges into opportunities for sustainable growth, David co-founded Sparta Global in 2014 to address the UK’s widening digital skills gap and create meaningful entry points into tech for diverse emerging talent.
A committed advocate for social mobility and representation, David’s vision has helped thousands of young people begin careers in AI and technology, with many now contributing to major UK enterprises and public-sector organisations.
Throughout his career, David has launched and scaled multiple ventures, guided teams through significant organisational change, and led Sparta Global through two successful private equity transactions (Key Capital Partners in 2017 and Inflexion Private Equity in 2020).
His work has earned recognition for both commercial impact and purpose, including the LDC Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders, The King’s Award for Enterprise, and commendations from HRH The Princess Royal for excellence in training. In 2024, David was awarded the Freedom of City of London for services to education.
