After graduating from Aberystwyth University with a degree in Computer Graphics and Games, Harry joined Sparta Global to gain practical industry experience and explore new areas of technology. What began as an opportunity to broaden his technical horizons quickly developed into a passion for DevOps, providing him with a clear pathway into a rapidly evolving and highly impactful specialism.

During his time at the AI & Tech Institute, Harry developed expertise across DevOps principles, automation tooling and cloud technologies while gaining valuable experience working with industry-standard tools and methodologies. Through practical training, regular knowledge checks and support from experienced trainers, he strengthened both his technical knowledge and professional skills, helping him make the transition from academic learning to client deployment. The programme also introduced Harry to new ways of working, including the effective use of AI to support problem-solving and accelerate learning.

Harry is currently deployed as a Junior Cloud Platform Engineer within a major UK Government organisation, where he works as part of an Agile team responsible for supporting and improving critical platforms and services. His day-to-day responsibilities include automation development, platform maintenance and infrastructure improvement projects. He is currently contributing to an initiative focused on centralising Ansible roles and consolidating projects into a more efficient and maintainable solution that can support future business requirements.

Alongside his project responsibilities, Harry has already delivered positive outcomes through his proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges. From helping address issues that impacted development processes to supporting wider automation and CI/CD improvements, he has quickly established himself as a valued member of the team.
